What To Do: Targeted Tactics
Fans are voicing outrage over Lisa’s exit far and wide, but we need to direct our protests to the proper channels. A flood of well-placed complaints will have much more impact than merely tweeting. Viewers need to let the executives at Fox and NBC Universal know how MUCH letting Lisa go will affect them. After all, these are the people making the decisions about her contract. We need to call and email complaints stating that we will not watch season 8 without her. Let them know that ratings will continue to fall if they insist on concluding the series without her. Let them know that trying to save money on a contract will cost them more in the long run. The message needs to be clear and consistent: People will not watch without Lisa, and it will cost you money. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT; it’s all they seem to understand.
