Keep In Mind: We Have A Goal
First, House fans, DON’T give up. That is what’s most important because it is NOT over. Lisa Edelstein may have issued a statement, but TPTB at House and the executives at Fox Broadcasting and NBC Universal have not commented on or confirmed her departure. This is our window of opportunity.
Second, it is important to remember that it does not matter WHO is at “fault.” It does not matter whether the Fox Broadcasting/NBC Universal executives told Lisa Edelstein there was no deal, or she walked away. What matters is that we pressure them to RENEGOTIATE. What matters is that we, the viewers, get Lisa back for season 8.
Just because she may be leaving, doesn’t necessarily mean she WANTS to leave. Lisa said she was “disappointed,” and leading up to the renewal of the show itself she was quoted (by Ausiello) as being excited for season 8. We don’t know the details, but this is obviously something she didn’t want. So we need to make Fox/NBCU realize that letting her go is a MISTAKE—a HUGE mistake and ALL of us fans need to band together to prove it. Viewers who express their indignation can affect change; we just need to work TOGETHER, AT THE SAME TIME to get attention.
